Then we shoot, edit, revise and hand over the footage to your ads manager. We check in monthly for 6 months post launch and tweak edits for A/B testing if necessary.
Your ads manager can vary the spend and turn the ads on/off to control demand, and keep the campaigns running until the metrics become unsatisfactory.
Retainers are sold to businesses as a mutually beneficial arrangement to establish long term relationships with clientele. In theory this is a great idea, however in our experience it often squeezes marketing budgets and adds another workload to business owners to keep up with planning, shooting and revision requirements.
In truth, retainers are better business for marketing agencies and videographers than they are for the client. This is because they give marketers regular cashflow and allow them to book projects and forecast further into the future.
BUT when campaigns are done correctly, there's no need to shoot new content regularly. To us, delivering a project that TRULY benefits our clients means they DON’T NEED TO WORK WITH US again for 6-12 months or more!
There are some unique circumstances and strategic goals that do benefit from a retainer, and it’s an arrangement we do offer WHEN appropriate, however they’re unnecessary for 90% of our clients and not what the “Sprint Video” projects are about.
We aim to complete projects from discovery call to footage handover in 8 weeks, however this can vary depending on the client’s availability for shooting and how quickly they deliver feedback in revisions.
We use discovery calls to compile all the info we need to plan our shoots so there's no homework, workbooks or questionnaires you need to fill out by yourself, and we have collaborative online tools to efficiently deliver draft videos ready for your review.
Sometimes work and life can stop our clients from revising projects with us on schedule. We totally understand when this is the case and we’ll move ahead with other clients until revisions have been provided.
Keep in mind this step is often the biggest bottleneck for us and the step that slows projects down the most. If you’re the type of person that prefers to call and discuss revisions, we can also do it that way!
It’s always our mission to get projects into the hands of your ads team ASAP so they can start generating you leads and sales.
We check in monthly with you for 6 months post-handover, and always enjoy the opportunity to jump on a call with you and your ads manager for campaign performance reviews.
Sometimes edits need slight tweaks and variations for A/B testing to improve performance and this is included in limited scope during the 6 months of support.
You’ll hear from us less frequently after those 6 months but you’ll have an open line to us if questions ever arise - giving you all the long term support you might need without a hefty monthly fee!
